Georgia Public Archery Ranges: All 24 GA DNR Ranges, Fees and License Rules
Georgia's Department of Natural Resources (Wildlife Resources Division) publishes a map of its public shooting and archery ranges. The underlying dataset lists 24 archery ranges. This page puts all of them in one table with the field that most visitors get wrong: what you need in order to shoot there.
The short version
- 17 of the 24 ranges list their requirement as "Fishing License, Hunting License or Lands Pass". The range itself has no separate fee, but you need one of those credentials.
- 7 ranges list a cash fee instead. These are mostly state-park ranges with a per-person day fee plus a parking pass (for example Panola Mountain: adults $10/day, youth $5/day, parking $5/day).
- 23 of 24 are listed as unmanned. Nobody is on site to sell you anything, so sort out your license or pass before you go.
- Most are open sunrise to sunset daily. A few (Ocmulgee, Mike Commander, Richmond Hill) follow a Tuesday–Saturday 9 AM–6 PM / Sunday 1–6 PM schedule and are closed Mondays, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Before you go
- Carry the credential the range lists (license, Lands Pass, or cash for the park fee).
- Bring your own bow, arrows and target faces. The dataset lists no rentals at any of these ranges.
- Check the DNR map for closures. Fees and hours here are copied from the DNR dataset as of 2026-10-21 and can change.
